About The Artist
Judith Mroski-Gonzalez

Judith Mroski-Gonzalez was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1966, but has lived in Texas since 1973. Inspired by her grandfather, who was a painter, she decided to pursue art as a career. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Design & Visual Arts from the University of Houston at Clear Lake in 1989, and worked for 15 years as a graphic designer. She met her husband, artist George A. Gonzalez, in 1987 when they were both working as graphic artists for a local company, they married in 1988 and have been constant companions in their pursuit of artistic excellence ever since. In 2005, after 17 years of marriage, Judith and George were blessed
with the birth of their son, Douglas.

Judith devotes most of her time to painting portraits & figurative subjects. She has been commissioned to paint portraits for clients that have included television personalities, CEO’s, doctors, and members of the space program. Ms. Mroski-Gonzalez’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries in California, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and Texas, where she has participated in several group shows. One of her self-portraits was featured in an article in the
November 2005 issue of Southwest Art Magazine. In both 2012 and 2013 Judith had paintings chosen as Finalists in the very prestigious Art Renewal Center International Salon.

Judith also maintains a website showcasing both her and George’s artwork at www.gonzalezstudios.com.

BORN: 1966, Youngstown, OH

Inspired by the Old Masters’ realistic technique, my goal as an artist is to capture the beauty of a subject on my canvas, and through it convey a lasting aesthetic inspiration that will stay with the viewer. I strive to maintain the tradition of realism in my artwork.
